*INTENSE TAILBONE PAIN* Relief with Gonstead Technique

(upbeat easy guitar music) – When you feel the pain, where do you feel it right now? You feel it down here and into the legs, but can you show me now, because now I’m just looking at your back. – Right here. – It’s all the way down there. So right here, that’s painful? – I have pain here. – [Doctor] Okay. – Right here. – [Doctor] Both sides? Both sides? – Yeah. – [Doctor] Okay.
– And here and here. Right now, I can’t do. – [Doctor] Okay. Any pain? – Little. – [Doctor] A little bit?
– Yeah. – Where is the pain when you do that? – Here. – Got it. You see how, like, how asymmetrical it is? Her pants are going like this, too, right? – When she come sit down, (speaking with heavy accent) sit down, going down. (grunts) Wake up, again. When you go to the bed, you go to the bed like this. – Every day? – Now, getting more– – I feel more better now. – It’s like, pain, I don’t know. – When I sit, I sit
over here, or over here. – Okay. So you’re trying
to avoid your tailbone. – Yeah. You’re so tilted in your pelvis, and your tailbone is shifting
off to the outside, right? So when you sit onto it, you’re sitting actually at
an angle on your tailbone. Yeah, got something right there, too. You feel it? Right there. Yeah, okay. Another one a little lower right there. So I get there, that’s painful right? – Mm-hmm. This is your, where your joint is, okay, your tailbone, okay? This is where your coccyx, it’s called a coccyx, meets your sacrum. Basically if I poke this side pretty hard, that’s not too bad, right? But if I go a little bit here, that hurts, right? – Mm-hmm.
– Yeah. It means it sprains out
onto that side, okay? So that’s why when I push on this side, it doesn’t really hurt, but if I push on that
side, it hurts, right? So what we’re gonna do
is actually close that. I’m gonna actually address
your tailbone today. So is that painful right there? – Mm-hmm.
– Yeah. – You sometimes get headaches, right? Right here? – Okay, so what we’re gonna do is actually adjust your
atlas over here, okay? So this is your very top bone, okay. Because you said it comes down into your
arms sometimes, right? And it’s really hard for you
to raise your arms, right? And so this nerve goes into, you said it actually goes
into your fingers, too, right? – Yeah, mm-hmm. – Which fingers do you feel- – This one. – Okay, mostly this one? – Mm-hmm. – And it’s when you move
your neck this way, right? And then sometimes it hurts your nerves all the way to your finger right? – Yeah.
– Yeah. So that’s what I’m saying is, we’re gonna adjust up here, so most of the rotation in your neck actually happens from up here. So if I fix that, it can help a lot with what she’s feeling going to the arm. Just watch. Do you feel that every day, the finger? – Yes, every day. – Every day, okay. So you let me know, do you feel it right now? – I feel right now. – Okay. So let’s adjust up here, okay? So, you ready? Okay, sounds good. – [Man] I can hold her. (both laugh) I’ll be quick. So I’m gonna be adjusting
this top one, okay? So I’ll show you really quick because I’m gonna be
pushing that over, okay? Chin up a little bit while
I’m (speaking softly) (neck cracks)
Good. Not too bad, right? – No. (laughs) – Good. How often do you get the
headaches, really quick? – For one year, almost every day. – Every day for a year? Okay, yeah, that’s not good. So that is definitely
gonna help you with that. What we’re gonna do, okay, so it’s sprained out over here, okay? So that’s where the swelling is. So what we’re gonna do
is actually adjust it and close it, okay? Actually it’s really swollen here, so I’m gonna basically just
get some of the swelling out. Okay. Breathe in. Okay. Good. Just relax. (bench pops) Good. That adjusted nice. That better? – Mm-hmm. – How’s the tailbone feeling? – Yeah, it feels– – Yeah, bend down. – Yeah. – Ready for Zumba? (woman laughs) – So your tailbone’s right here, right? It’s curved over to this side. So what I did was put my finger there and actually just twisted that around to actually close it. Feel better?
– Uh-huh – Yeah. – Thank you. – Tailbones should not get adjusted every single time that you come in. Let me know how that does the next time when you do come in, okay? (easy band music)

Degenerated Disc Relief with Chiropractic Adjustments (POP & CRACK), Decompression, & Laser Therapy.

hi this is dr. Moran with kinetic
chiropractic and I’m gonna go over how we treat degenerated discs and joints
the low back if you look on the left to see an x-ray of a normal low back and on
the right is a degenerated low back of this patient the degenerated x-ray has
narrowed disc spaces bone spurs and narrowed holes for the nerves these
problems are putting pressure on our nerves and causing pain in her low back
thighs and legs she is unable to drive or sit for longer than a few minutes
before she starts to get excruciating pain for this patient we started a
treatment program with chiropractic adjustments to get pressure off the
nerves decompression to open up the compressed joints to start healing the
disc and class 4 laser to decrease pain inflammation and speed up the healing
process this is her sixth visit and she’s already starting to get results
and is able to drive for longer distance with minimal pain. It’s in the same spot but not nearly as bad time backs a little tight to it let’s
lay this sign up facing me work on all right yeah it’s starting school all right just laying back here gonna do

An Injured Teen Is Rushed into the ED – Chicago Med (Episode Highlight)

-Matt Jacobsen,
14-year-old male fell attempting
a skateboard trick. Complaining of pain
to the left forearm. Vitals stable. -All right.
You notify the parents? -Dad’s right behind us. -Keep breathing, kid. I know that it hurts.
Just try to keep breathing. -[ Groans ] -He, uh, was screaming his
head off the whole way here. -All right, on my count. One, two, three. -[ Groans ] -There we go.
Thank you, guys. Hey, Matt, did you put your arms
out in front of you to break your fall? -I can’t remember.
Ow! -All right, easy there.
Breath sounds are normal. Dad, you see what happened? -No, I was in the house. I got to him
as quick as I could, but I don’t move so fast. -Yeah.
-[ Groans ] -All right, Matt, can you move
your head for me? -My arm hurts so bad. -All right, just touch your chin
to your chest then. -Make it stop hurting, please. -He’s too distracted to clear
the C-spine. Let’s take care of his pain,
and then we’ll reassess. Monique, get a line in,
get a four of morphine. -No, no, no.
I hate needles. Can’t you give me pills? -They’re gonna take a lot longer
to work, bud. -I don’t want a needle.
-Just give him a pill. Please. -All right, fine.
Uh, give 7.5 hydrocodone. Once the pain subsides,
we’ll do a chest x-ray AP and lateral x-rays of both arms. -I’m just gonna — okay?
-[ Groans ] It hurts. -Dr. Rhodes, do you smell
alcohol on dad’s breath? -Oh, yeah. He reeked of it. -It hurts. [ Groans ]

5 SIMPLE FIRST-AID TECHNIQUES for Camping Situations

5 SIMPLE FIRST-AID TECHNIQUES for Camping Situations

Good day sir!
my name is- nope we’re trying this again… Good day sir. My name is Michael Saye.
Welcome to Scoutr and today we’re gonna …be exploring the wilds of minor injuries… Hey guys, welcome to Scoutr! if you’re
new here consider subscribing. We actually have a pretty exciting video
today. I’m going to be reading through a blog post that I wrote three days ago
about minor injuries and how to heal them most people know how to deal with
most of these but most people also don’t know how to do them correctly so we’re
gonna try and go through and learn these again but the proper way.
So, without further ado, let’s get into it. Cuts and scrapes! Have you ever gotten a
cut or scrape? Probably unless you’re Superman. Treating cut is very simple
but you need to stop the bleeding. This could be a cut of any size but this is a
basics for all cut treatment. This is a pocket knife right let’s say I were to
open the knife up and then accidentally cut my thumb off or something, I don’t
know. What’s the first thing you want to do? Well you want to stop the bleeding, so
how do you stop the bleeding in a cut? You apply pressure. That is the most
important thing when dealing with some kind of cut or battle wound from getting
thrown into the Amazon place…sorry I don’t know much about biology. So you
want to apply a ton of pressure. Depending on the size of the cut you
actually want to apply a lot of pressure to stop the bleeding quickly. Typically
your blood will deal with the rest for you and it’ll clot up unless you have
some kind of weird disease, which if that’s the case you shouldn’t be using
pocket knives. So once you apply the pressure, you wait for it to kind of clot
over a bit and you probably want to clean the wound. Depending
on how bad it is, like I said before, you want to deal with it differently. Let’s
say it’s a more serious one, like I cut my thumb, then, yeah, the first thing is to
stop the bleeding and then the second thing is to wash out the wound and apply
a bandage. Maybe add some kind of antibiotic into the mix before the
band-aid but in the case of like a small scrape or I just nicked my thumb a bit,
I recommend washing it out just with water and soap
and then you band-aid it… then bandage it. Another important thing
with cuts is, you need to make sure you’re updated with your tetanus shot,
because if you’re not then you could get lockjaw and die and that’s never fun…
never fun. Blisters! Blisters are a wee bit more common than cuts, I think, but
it’s really simple to deal with a blister. You might get a blister after
going on a hike with really gross socks. The first thing you want do is want to swab the
blister with iodine and then puncture the blister. Now a lot of people do this
in the form of popping the blister, which is fine, but I prefer to take, like one
of those knitting needles… That’s wrong, that does just like,
okay so what you want to do is you want to take one of them sewing needles.
That’s the right word and you just kind of lightly puncture the dead skin
on the top and you let the fluid drain out. Then you clean the area with
soap or some kind of anti-bacterial. You can applying ointment and a
bandage if necessary. Three, minor burns! The most common one is the sunburns. So the first step is to avoid getting something like this, which, actually, you should be doing
for all of these. You want to make sure that you wear lots of sunscreen.
I think it’s SPF 50 is the recommended. That’s all good, if you wear
sunscreen, you won’t get sunburned as often. Before treating you burn make sure
you remove any jewelry or rings or clothing, then you run cool water against it let’s say it’s my arm I would take all the
bracelets off of it and then I put it under some cold water and then I would
avoid pop popping any blisters because the blisters are actually very important
for fighting infection in the burn which that’s a problem because obviously you
don’t want to you don’t want your arm to turn into a zombie of an arm that’s
that’s just gross so yeah don’t do that and then yeah after about a minute in
the water apply aloe vera and bandage if necessary chances are it’s a sunburn you
won’t need to bandage it but you know the next one nose bleeds when the blood
starts leaving your nose pinch your nose and sit straight and lean forward like
this wait about five minutes before you stop to check if it continues to bleed
this is what I used to do when I when I was younger I used to have a lot of
bloody noses and I used to be pretty self-conscious about it – but you always
wait five minutes after you start pinching your nose and it should go away
after five minutes if it continues to bleed just go through it again and if it
continues to bleed after that you might have a problem don’t blow your nose off
for a few hours after afterwards so you can prevent another episode and also I
didn’t put this in the blog post but I often recommend not leaning forward too
far so like like this is not recommended if you’re fighting nosebleeds because it
just it starts starts up the stuff inside again you could probably tell I
don’t know a lot about biology next thing insect bites and stings the
first thing to check for after being stung is if you have a stinger in the
afflicted area so let’s say I was stung in the arm because I tried to reach my
hand and do up into a nest of wasps to grab some honey which if you reach into
a wasp nest to grab honey you’re an idiot
just mmm you deserve to be stung okay I got
to make sure that there’s no stingers still in my arm so what I do is I look
at my arm and I pull out a knife or some kind of card this is a card stock not
not just straight paper so it’s good you can also use a credit card that’s that’s
very common so what you want to do is you take the credit card and you put it
on your arm at a 25 degree angle give or take you know you don’t have to measure
it out or anything but and then just kind of gently scrape against your arm
and it should peel all the Stingers off of your arm sort of magic okay the last
one is um quite extreme compared to the other ones it yeah it’s it’s quite
extreme it’s not really a small affliction it’s a venomous snakebite but
I mean it’s it’s smaller than a lot of other ones so yeah let’s let’s go and
get into this one whenever you’re bitten by a snake
always assume the bite is venomous no matter if it is or not even if if you
recognize the colors as non-venomous always perform for a stage like it is
venomous because it could be and if you’re wrong it can cost you your life
which means you’re gonna die don’t try and remove the venom from the bite don’t
suck the venom I don’t know where that myth even came from that’s just stupid
cuz even if you do manage to get the venom out you’re going to get it in your
mouth and plus there’s that that blood thing that I was talking about and the
pathogens and the number one important thing to remember with snake bites is
keep it away from your heart for as long as physically possible yeah so get away
from the snake that’s a that’s a given because if don’t try and catch it that
that’s just dumb I mean I can see some of my friends doing that but just don’t
don’t do that yeah don’t don’t do that
that was a long blog post this is quite a long video so yeah I’m not gonna read
the in conclusion you got to go read it yourself go check out my blog posts on
Scouter website which you can find on the link thing somewhere on my youtube
channel yeah go check out my Instagram and Twitter if you want to and leave
some feedback to some my stuff I really appreciate fan feedback I know
I haven’t gotten a lot but I really like when fans give me feedback or opinions
or something they want to talk about so if there’s one call to action you should
take away from this it’s go to one of my social media and leave a comment thank
you guys so much for watching and see you later

TMJ TMD Pain Relief Exercises

TMJ TMD Pain Relief Exercises

AJ here with Stronglife Physiotherapy! Temporomandibular joint disorder, or TMD, sometimes called TMJ can cause pain in the jaw, face, around the ear. It can cause headaches and make it hard to chew You can also get locking of the jaw making it difficult to open or close your mouth. In this video I’ll show you some key exercises to resolve your temporomandibular joint dysfunction These exercises decrease you pain by moving and strengthening the joint and surrounding muscles It’s not a quick fix but some people find they can get relief fairly quickly. You’ll also want to figure out the cause of your TMD. Often times it is due to stress which causes day or night time jaw clenching Or nervous habits like nail biting, pencil chewing or other things that irritate the joint. To reduce stress I recommend meditation and whichever type of exercise that you enjoy the most You’ll also want to start being more aware of how you chew your food. Only chewing your food on one side of your mouth can be a problem and is often the cause or at least a contributing factor. Before I show you the exercises keep in mind that you should start out easy and don’t push through pain if any of the exercises are painful. If you have pain just lighten up your pressure or limit your motion to keep pain to a minimum. It helps to do them in front of a mirror to make sure you’re doing them correctly. For the first exercise place the tip of your tongue just behind your two front teeth and keep it there while opening and closing your mouth. Open and close your mouth 10 times Watch your jaw in the mirror to see if it shifts towards the left or right as it moves. Try to keep it in midline as you open and close. Now with your mouth slightly open, use the palm of your hand to apply pressure to the side of your jaw and at the same time press back with your jaw into your hand. Check in the mirror to make sure your jaw stays centered in midline and doesn’t actually move to the side. Hold for 5 seconds and repeat 5 times on each side. Now with the jaw slightly open place your palm or thumbs under your chin and apply pressure upward into your chin while at the same time pressing down with your chin keeping your jaw centered. Hold for 5 seconds and repeat 5 times Next we’re going to stretch the joint. With your mouth slightly open, and centered. And jaw relaxed apply pressure with the palm of your hand on the chin in a straight backward direction. This requires some firm pressure to get a good stretch But if it’s painful just lighten up on your pressure. Hold for about 1 second and repeat 10 times Performing these exercises on a regular basis will help build strength and mobility in your TMJ and should help relieve your pain. Do them once, preferably twice a day for at least a few weeks. Some people will get relief more quickly than others but don’t give up if it doesn’t seem like it’s working after a few days. Thanks for watching! Make sure to subscribe and share this video if you know someone who has TMJ pain. Have a great day, and stay strong!
